Exploring Stone Way - Restaurants & Shops

A prominent north-south street in Seattle that connects Fremont to Wallingford, tree-lined Stone Way is home to a pleasing mix of shops, restaurants, breweries, and cafes. It runs all the way from the Ship Canal (where it connects to the Fremont Bridge) to North 50th Street, It's also key corridor for cyclists and pedestrians, as it connects to Seattle’s Burke-Gilman Trail.

In no particular order, here are some of our favorite shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and tea rooms along this fantastic urban avenue.

Restaurants

  • Livbud - 3400 Stone Way N #4 - Offers a plant-forward, pescatarian menu focusing on vegan and vegetarian dishes, using organic, locally sourced ingredients with no refined sugars. It's celebrated for its unique brunch and dinner menus, featuring crowd favorites like the Oyster Mushroom Shawarma, Green Curry Mussels, Harvest Scramble, Saffron Crème Brûlée, and Savory Porridge.

  • Fiasco - 3400 Stone Way - An "update of the casual neighborhood Italian restaurant", Fiasco focuses classic and beloved dishes like Pappardelle Bolognese, Fusilli Alla Vodka, and Margherita Pizza. Check out the buy-one-get-one pizza on Wednesdays and a pasta-and-wine special on Tuesdays.

  • The Whale Wins - 3506 Stone Way N - Inspired by the Pacific Northwest, this James Beard Award winning spot offers seasonally driven, vegetable-forward, locally sourced cuisine with a strong focus on dishes roasted in a wood-fired oven. Ppopular items include the roasted half chicken, Hama Hama clams, Parisienne gnocchi, and more.

  • Ooink Ramen - 3630 Stone Way N - Rich, flavorful ramen with unique, bold twists. Menu favorites include Tonkotsu Ramen, Mala Kotteri Ramen (known for its numbing spice and black garlic richness), and Spicy Miso Ramen, plus side dishes like gyoza and spicy fried chicken wings.

  • Tavolàta Stone Way - 3627 Stone Way N #8003 - Italian-inspired restaurant known for its freshly made pasta and seasonal, Pacific Northwest ingredients.   • Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria - Wallingford - 4411 Stone Way N - Authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN). Pizzas feature a thin, soft crust, cooked in a wood-fired oven at high temperatures. Popular options include the Margherita, Roberto Pizza, and their range of fresh salads and appetizers like the Burrata with Peperonata and Neapolitan Meatballs.

  • Blue Star Cafe & Pub - 4512 Stone Way N - Classic American comfort food with a creative twist and hugely popular brunch. Local faves include the Crab Cake Benedict, Mile High Eggs, and the hearty Top Gun Scramble, all made with high-quality ingredients like Wilcox Farm eggs.   • Haerfest - 4106 Stone Way N suite 104, - Upscale new American restaurant inspired by fresh and local ingredients, which ties into the restaurant's name, derived from the Old English word for "harvest." Notable dishes include ricotta gnocchi with pesto and pine nuts, paccheri with prawn and bouillabaisse, and grilled wild salmon. Also offers handcrafted cocktails and a carefully curated wine list, highlighting both Pacific Northwest and international wines.

  • Sea Wolf Bakers - 3617 Stone Way N Suite 101 - Known for its artisan breads and pastries, offering a mix of sweet and savory baked goods. Standout items include sourdough bread, chocolate croissants filled with Valrhona chocolate, and savory croissants with ingredients like mushrooms and Swiss cheese, and their incredible cinnamon rolls. The bakery also supplies bread to some of Seattle's top restaurants.

  • Stone Way Cafe - 3525 Stone Way N - Cozy atmosphere and comfort food with a focus on breakfast and brunch options, as well as an assortment of specialty coffee drinks.
